Join us as we explore the practice from entering the door to moving to the mat. We will learn common yoga etiquette and language, what the benefits of the practice are and why it has become recommended by many health professionals. Deb will guide you through a basic class, talk about the benefit of a few common postures, explain what it means to ‘center’ one’s self, and experience some ‘tools’ for relaxation. There will be opportunity for questions and answers as every class is a learning experience for all.

This 20 hour module is for anyone interested in bringing yoga and mindfulness to at-risk populations: prisons, homeless shelters, veterans, hospitals, etc. You will learn:
* How trauma affects the mind and body.
* How to use Tantra Hatha Yoga to help heal the mind/body disconnect after trauma.
* How to work with clients to understand and heal from trauma through the practices of Tantra Hatha Yoga.
* What is a trauma informed yoga ? How is it different than a regular studio class.
* How to create and teach yoga classes to different populations and in different setting using modifications, and Tantra Hatha philosophy.

Eat Breathe Thirve is a nonprofit organization that is looking for participants for a research study. Becca Stephens and Liz Dennis are co-facilitators of the program which will run at pranaSTRONG yoga & wellness.
We are offering Eat Breathe Thrive a seven-week program which includes yoga, meditation, psychoeducation, and community service activities.
4 Week Series Class

Wednesday 5:45-7:00pm, $50
Looking for Relief from Chronic Pelvic Pain? This course 4 week course is designed for the beginner who does not have a yoga practice. We will focus on gentle yoga postures to help strengthen and stretch the abdomen, back, thighs, hips and muscles in the pelvic bowl.
You will be guided through proven focused breathing techniques that will assist in relaxation while learning to connect breath with movement to optimize the gentle strengthening and stretching techniques used in class.
